Stratobel Strong is a non-tempered laminated safety glass used for glass balustrades held upright. It consists of two standard panes of glass joined by PVB interlayers that are much more rigid than standard interlayers. It offers greater resistance to impact and bending than ordinary laminated glass. It is more economical and easier to install, thanks to lower toughening costs and shorter installation times, because there are fewer intermediaries. The sheets of glass are perfectly aligned. In the event of breakage, the glass balustrade stays in place thanks to the rigidity of the special PVB used, which is 100 times more rigid than standard PVB. Stratobel Strong complies with French market specifications and has been tested and approved in accordance with CSTB specification 3034. It also has an attractive appearance, with a perfectly flat glass surface and edges that can be polished in a single operation, without delamination or alteration. Different types of glass can be used for assembly, such as Planibel Clearlite (standard), Planibel Clearvision (extra-clear), Planibel Linea Azzurra (slightly bluish) and low-carbon glass. Stratobel Strong is an environmentally-friendly solution that uses less energy to manufacture because the glass is not heat-tempered. Fully recyclable, it is classified A+ (VOC) and Cradle to Cradle Bronze. The rail tested and approved is Logli Massimo's Defender brand. PVB is a plastic film used to bond sheets of glass together (Polyvinyl Butyral) in accordance with standards EN 12600 and EN 356. Suitable for interior and exterior applications in offices and the residential sector in accordance with EN 1991-1-1:2003 + NF P06-111-2/A1.
