With the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) add-on for Archicad, architects can perform a comprehensive and realistic LCA calculation during the design process. This calculation is based on the energy consumption of the design (calculated with EcoDesigner STAR) and the CO2 impact of materials (linked to a materials database). The add-on converts results to kgCO2/m² and takes the lifespan into account. The results are summarized in an exportable analysis, which a specialized firm can then convert into a certified LCA report. This unique add-on integrates BIM with LCA, enabling better sustainability management during the design process.
